1. The AI systems Hairboard uses

Hairboard uses two AI systems to provide its service:

Hair analysis: a Claude model (Anthropic), accessed through a technical gateway, analyzes the photo you provide to determine your face shape and hair type and to recommend suitable hairstyles.
Image simulation: a FLUX Kontext image-generation model, run primarily via Together AI and, as a fallback if unavailable, via fal.ai, generates an image simulating the chosen hairstyle on your photo.

2. Purposes of processing

These systems are used solely to provide the service you requested: hairstyle recommendations and a photorealistic preview of the result. They are not used for advertising profiling, scoring, or automated decision-making with legal effects on you.

3. Data sent to these systems

The photo you upload is sent, over an encrypted connection, to the analysis model's provider (Anthropic, via our gateway) and, if you request a simulation, to the image-generation provider (Together AI or, as a fallback, fal.ai). No other personal data (name, email, payment method) is sent to these systems.

4. Data retention

Photos and generated results are stored on our servers for as long as your account is active, unless you delete them. Our AI providers (Anthropic, Together AI, fal.ai) do not use the images sent to train their models and retain a copy only for as long as needed to process the request, under their respective terms.

5. AI-generated results

The simulation images you receive are images modified by artificial intelligence: they are a plausible projection, not a guarantee of the actual result you would get at a hairdresser. They should not be interpreted as an authentic photograph.

6. Your consent and how to withdraw it

AI analysis of your photo and generation of simulations are only triggered at your initiative, each time you submit a photo, and require your explicit consent, collected in the app before the first processing.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by no longer using the analysis feature and deleting your photos and simulations from your account, or by contacting us at privacy@myhairboard.com for full deletion of your data.
